Comfortable win in opening pre-season game

Ferriby almost took the lead after three minutes but Adam Bolder’s 18-yard drive hit the bar. Three minutes later Bolder’s superb 40-yard cross-filed pass released Dan Clayton on the left allowing him to round keeper Robert Peet before scoring from close-range.

Despite their control in midfield, Ferriby created few clear scoring chances. Bolder and Peat had good efforts saved by Peet.

Lincoln rarely threatened but Michael Jacklin was unfortunate to see his downward header from Danny Brooks’ corner bounce over the bar.

Ferriby manager Billy Heath made seven changes at half-time. The visitors clinched the game fter 48 minutes when Jon D’Laryea picked-up the ball in midfield, took it forward and fired home a low shot from 18yards.

Ferriby retained control in midfield and a dominant defence limited Lincoln to just one shot from George Asplin.
Matt Kingston and Tim Taylor both twice went close for Ferriby in the final 15 minutes.
