Congratulations to Jason St Juste, Vanarama North Player of the Month
Vanarama are delighted to announce that the winner of the Vanarama Conference North Player of the Month award for February is Jason St Juste of North Ferriby United.
On the announcement of the award Jason said, “It's an honour and a surprise to win the award. It rounds off a memorable month as Ferriby have reached the FA Trophy Final. The award is also recognition for the team as a whole.
North Ferriby United boss Billy Heath added, “The award is well-deserved. Jason is a fine player and a tremendous asset to the team. Apart from winning the Player of the month award, he will also remember this month for scoring the winning penalty in the FA Trophy semi-final shoot-out against Bath.”
The official award panel had this to say, “The dream of all players is to tread the turf of the Venue of Legends and that is precisely what North Ferriby United will do at Wembley in the FA Trophy Final. However to be able to do so they had to battle through two tough semi-finals, then endure extra time with ten men; and finally keep their cool for the dreaded lottery of penalties against Bath City.
Several outstanding candidates over those breath-taking ties came to the fore but one who shone out to be awarded Vanarama Conference North 'Player of the Month' is Jason, scorer in the first away leg and then one of the successful penalty takers. His added experience since joining the Villagers has been instrumental in this fantastic achievement.”
