The East Riding Archives, based at the Treasure House, Beverley, is conducting an oral history project entitled 'Times of Old-Retold' in order to help create an archive of memories and experiences of life in the East Riding during the last century, this includes memories of sport and Leisure.
As North Ferriby Utd are one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the East Riding area, Dr Alex Ombler (Archives Assistant, East Riding Archives) would like to hear from staff, ex-players or supporters who could spare a small amount of time to chat about their memories of the club and its history This could be arranged at a time and place convenient to the interviewee.
This project will be an exciting new development in documenting the history of our area, and the staff involved very keen to hear from anybody who feels they might have a story (or two) to tell.
If you are able to help with this project could you contact Dr Ombler directly at Alex.Ombler@eastriding.gov.uk or (01482) 392790. If you know of anybody who could help will you please pass on this request to them.
Although the club is not directly involved in the research, we do support the project and hope that those with long(ish) memories will help
Many thanks
