Narrow defeat for Villagers against Grimsby
Vanarama National League side Grimsby were made to work hard for this victory by near-neighbours Ferriby. This was a thoroughly entertaining game between two sides that were fairly evenly matched on the night. However, neither manager will read too much in to the result. Pre-season games are all about players gaining match fitness and giving as many players as possible time on the pitch.
