North Ferriby United v Grantham Town
Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division
Saturday 2 February 2013 KO 3.00 pm
Ferriby return to League action when struggling Grantham Town visit the Rapid Soloicitors Stadium on Saturday. The reverse fixture was a tight affair with Feriby having to overcome a two goal deficit before winning 3-2.
The Villagers are four points clear of Hednesford Town at the top of the table and it is going to be a challenging final third of the season for Ferriby as they attempt to maintain their promotion bid.
Manager Billy Heath will be pleased to see his side back in action. The enforced break due to snow and then waterlogged pitches will have allowed players to recover from niggling injuries. Heath will be hoping that his players can pick-up the form they displayed before the bad weather.
Ferriby were playing attractive football before the enforced break and were creating plenty of goal-scoring chances. Most sides in the Premier Division are capable of beating each other. Ferriby's players confidence in their ability to win games but Heath will be ensuring that his players show respect to their opponents and not underestimate them
With the recent series of postponements Manager Billy Heath will have an almost full-strength squad to choose from. Goalkeeper Adam Nicklin is suspended which will give Antony Pecora a chance to start. Defender Dean Lisles will miss the rest of the season with a broken ankle. Steve Gardner returns to the squad following the end of his loan to Frickley Athletic. New signings Oliver Banks from Scarborough Athletic, and Jason Stokes from Boston United will be in the squad.
Possible Ferriby squad: Antoni Pecora, Steve Ridley, Steve Gardner, Gregg Anderson, Paul Foot, Mark Gray, Nathan Peat, Liam King, Russell Fry, Danny Clarke, Chris Bolder, Ryan Williams, Anthony Wilson, Ryan Kendall, Gary Bradshaw, Rob Moy, Tim Taylor, Oliver Banks, Jason Stokes
