NFU v Leeds United XI
Tuesday 28 July Kick-off 7.00 pm
Match Sponsors: KRL Group
FA Trophy holders North Ferriby play their penultimate pre-season fixture when Championship club Leeds United send a team to the Eon Visual Media Stadium. This will be the first time that Leeds have sent a side to play The Villagers.
The game kicks-off at the earlier than usual time of 7pm
Ferriby drew 1-1 at Shaw lane Aquaforce on Saturday. It was a game of few chances but The Villagers had by far the better of territory and possession, especially in the second-half when they denied the home side any goal-scoring attempts.
Ferriby manager Billy Heath commented,
“I thought we did enough to win the game but credit to Shaw lane who look to be a well organised side.
"The Leeds game is going to be a tough match for us whatever the strength of the Leeds side. Obviously, they are full-time professionals and that always has an influence on a game.
“However, we are all looking forward to the challenge. My players have responded well in earlier games and training sessions have been good. Once again, I’ll use the game to give match time to as many players as possible.”
NFU squad: Adam Nicklin, Tom Nicholson, Josh Wilde, Ash Palmer, Louis Bruce, Danny Hone, Mark Gray, Liam King, Russ Fry, Adam Bolder, Danny Clarke, Danny Emerton, Tim Taylor, Curtis Bateson, Tom Davie, Nathan Hotte, Ryan Kendall, Tom Denton, Jamie Forrester, Lewis Clarkson, Ben Middleton, Ross Armstrong
Admission prices are £10 full price, £5 for concessions with under-12s admitted free if accompanied by a paying adult. The bar and both catering outlets will be open as usual.
