The Villagers link-up with North Ferriby Athletic

North Ferriby United are pleased to announce that they have established a link-up with Humber Premier League Division One side North Ferriby Athletic.  The link-up with Athletic will give promising youngsters who come out of North Ferriby United’s Youth System the opportunity to move into, and develop, at a good level of Senior Football with a forward-thinking club.  The link further enhances  one of the Villagers' aims of increasing links within the local community.  It is expected that North Ferriby Athletic will play some of their matches at the Villagers' Eon Visual Media Stadium.

Steve Forster (joint chairperson of North Ferriby United) said:  “It is  great to have North Ferriby Athletic involved with our club structure.  We have been looking to create a better "pathway" for our junior players to move up towards the higher levels of football.  Ioan Pearce's team will now be working closely between Rich Bell from our junior teams and Billy and Bobby from our 1st team. Let us hope we can inspire a crop of junior stars for the future.”

Athletic’s Ed Heppel said: “The new relationship between the Clubs is a significant moment in Athletic’s history and adds security to the Club. We are proud to work alongside United to evelop local football. Manager Ioan Pearce added: " I have been involved in Athletic since its foundation in the lower amateur leagues.  I am looking forward to working with players from both Clubs from youth level up and I hope that we can mirror United’s recent success on the pitch.”
